PAIT : International Workshop on Protocols and Applications for the Internet of Things

June 2-5, 2015, London, United Kingdom.

Overview

The Internet of Things (IoT) has been emerging in the last few years as a result of the tight integration between computing and the physical world. Several technologies contributed to the birth of the IoT including wireless sensor networks, RFID systems, wireless communication technologies. However, this concept is still in early days and several challenges in what concerns networking, applications and system integration still need to be addressed.

The workshop aims at providing a forum for researchers in academia and industrial to present early research outcomes on the Internet of Things that presents an added value to the state of the art of the IoT, with a particular focus on networking and applications issues.

Topics of Interest are, but not limited to:

    • Network protocols for the Internet-of-Things (e.g. RPL, LOADng, etc.)
    • Architectures of the Internet of Things
    • Cyber-Physical Systems System Integration
    • Security and Privacy in IoT
    • Real-World applications
    • Experimental Testbed for the IoT
    • Cloud Computing for IoT
    • Service-Oriented Architecture for IoT

The workshop will provide a relaxed forum to present and discuss new ideas, new research directions and to review current trends in IoT. The workshop will be based on short presentations that should encourage discussions among the attendees. Statements which are innovative, controversial or that present new approaches are specially sought. PAIT 2015 will be held in conjunction with the 6th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (ANT-2015) in London, UK, June 02-05, 2015.
